Laboratory & Pathology Services
The Kirby Medical Center Laboratory is an accredited full-service facility providing round-the-clock coverage every day of the year.
Our services include Hematology, Chemistry, Immunohematology, Urinalysis, Serology, Microbiology, Phlebotomy and Urine Drug Screening.
For those in need of outpatient lab services, you will find us conveniently located in the promenade just inside the main entrance of Kirby Medical Center. The laboratory not only serves patients at Kirby; we also provide comprehensive services to the Kirby Medical Group providers both in Monticello and Atwood, Piatt County Nursing and Group Homes in Monticello and we offer blood collection services to Kirby Medical Group Monday-Friday.
We are dedicated to providing rapid access to precise and accurate laboratory data that assists in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of our patients. All disciplines of the laboratory display a high-level of efficiency. We use Pathology Associates of Central Illinois for pathology services, Quest Diagnostics for our reference laboratory and American Red Cross for blood service.
Our experienced and friendly staff consists of board-certified medical technologists, technicians and professional personnel, all of whom are highly trained and happy to be of service. Kirby Medical Center staff is committed to staying abreast of new and development technologies and we actively participate in ongoing continuing education.
Kirby Medical Center is accredited by The Joint Commission and we comply with all state and federal laws that regulate laboratory testing and billing.
