Record Setting Fundraising in 2023

What started as an annual fundraising and educational campaign held in October to help make a difference in the lives of those impacted by breast cancer has become a community-wide fundraiser with multiple activities. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported Paint Piatt Pink and helped us raise over $15,000, a new record for this annual effort to help those impacted by breast cancer.

A special shout-out to our local community partners for supporting this fundraising campaign: Caitlin Hicks - Private Jeweler & Design, Jennifer Lieb of Lively Aesthetics, Vinyl by Meredith, Soy&Lee Clothing Boutique, Moon Bean Coffee, Monticello High School Pep Club, and the State Bank of Bement.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the difference those supporting Paint Piatt Pink make in the lives of those facing this tough disease. Your generosity allows us to continue providing Hope Totes to breast cancer patients living in Piatt County and comfort care items to those receiving treatments in our Chemotherapy Department,” said Jennifer Moss, Chief Clinical Officer.

Funds raised during this year’s Paint Piatt Pink campaign are also supporting the purchase of Bella Blankets for our Imaging Department. These protective coverlets are placed on our mammography machine for EVERY patient and offer improved comfort and enhanced positioning for our technologists.

“The Bella Blankets are a wonderful enhancement to patient care and help encourage mammograms for annual screening,” added Moss.

Monticello Pep Club Appreciation Breakfast

In December, an appreciation breakfast was held for the Monticello High School Pep Club for donating $3,114.35 to Paint Piatt Pink. Since 2014, the club has donated $14,700 in support of the fundraiser. As a special thank you, the Paint Piatt Pink committee welcomed the pep club officers, football players, cheerleaders, Tara Stetson, faculty advisor, and Principal Travis Courson to a breakfast to showcase Paint Piatt Pink’s 2023 fundraising efforts. They toured the Mammography suite where Jaime West, Director of Imaging, demonstrated the equipment and answered questions. Dr. Lauren Fore also spoke about the importance of breast cancer screening. We greatly appreciate the Pep Club’s ongoing contributions to Paint Piatt Pink, and we’re glad to share firsthand the impact of their contributions.
