Winning Student Designs Announced in Annual
Kirby Medical Center’s Holiday Card Design Contest
MONTICELLO- December 7, 2018– After receiving many creative holiday
card designs from four area fourth-grade classes, a design submitted by
Eve Bryant, a student in Ms. Mabbs’ class at Washington Elementary Grade School
was selected as the first-place winner in the Kirby Medical Center Holiday
Card Design Contest.
Eve’s holiday card will become the official 2018 Kirby Medical Center
Holiday Card and her winning design will be Kirby Medical Center’s
holiday card for the holiday season. The runners up include:
Addison Dorjahn, a student in Ms. Mabb’s class at Washington Elementary Grade School;Eli Corpus, a student in Ms.Webb’s class at Cerro Gordo Elementary School;
Brenna Light, a student in Ms. Sedberry’s class at Blue Ridge-Mansfield Elementary
School; and
Jessa Cross, a student in Mrs. Forbes’ class at Cerro Gordo Elementary School.
Steve Tenhouse, Kirby’s CEO, along with Sarah Ross, Director of Development
visited Washington Elementary Grade School to present Eve with her special
recognition award. Eve received a personal art supply kit and Ms. Mabbs’
was presented with a check in the amount of $100 for the purchase of supplies
for her classroom.
In addition, all winners were invited to participate on the Kirby Medical
Center Christmas Parade Float during the Monticello Christmas parade on
Saturday, December 1st. Each winning card design has been displayed on
large posters in the Kirby Medical Center lobby.
