Top 20 Critical Access Hospital
KMC was name done of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals for Best Practice
Recipient for Patient Satisfaction in the country. This award is scored
by iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength Index and measures
strength of inpatient and outpatient market share, quality, outcomes,
patient perspectives, costs, charges and financial stability.
Quality of Care and Top Performance
As part of the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy Medicare Beneficiary
Quality Improvement Program, KMC submitted outcomes for patient safety,
patient engagement, care transitions and outpatient measures. KMC was
recognized for its quality of care outcomes and for demonstration top
performance with a quality score of more than 95 percent.
Outstanding Performance in Patient Experience
KMC was named a 2017 Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey,
a leading provider of patient experience measurement and performance analytics.
This award recognized top-performing healthcare organizations that have
consistently achieved the 95th percentile or above of performance in Patient Experience for the Emergency
Exemplary Provider Accreditation
Kirby Medical Group’s Rural Health Clinics in Monticello and Atwood
received The Compliance Team’s Exemplary Provider accreditation
for their newly implemented care model, the Patient-Centered Medical Home,
which uses evidence-based, patient-centered processes that focus on highly
coordinated care and long-term relationships.
Excellence in Patient Care
KMC was awarded the Studer Group’s Excellence in Patient Care Award
for Emergency Department Performance, which reflects the department’s
ranking in the 75th percentile or higher for overall emergency department satisfaction as
measured by patient satisfaction surveys. The Studer Group is an outcomes-based
healthcare performance firm.
