With warmer weather on the horizon, it's essential to stay properly
hydrated. If you're not too keen on drinking plain water, there are
plenty of fruits and veggies that can keep you hydrated too!
The Importance of Staying Hydrated
Along with being refreshing on a hot day, staying hydrated also helps to
support various areas of your physical health. Some
benefits of staying adequately hydrated include:

- Lubricating your joint.
- Preventing infection.
- Transporting nutrients to cells throughout your body.
- Supporting healthy organ function.
- Improving sleep quality.
- Supporting a stable mood.
- Improving cognitive function.
Foods With High Water Content
It is roughly recommended that the average adult should have
between 11 and 16 cups of water each day to stay properly hydrated. However, your water intake isn’t restricted
to just drinking plain water—your water intake can be supplemented
by the foods you eat.
Whether you find yourself struggling to keep track of your water intake
or you’ve got a little one who doesn’t like the taste of water,
here are some fresh fruits and vegetables that are both delicious and
high in water content:
- Bell peppers
- Honeydew melon
There are some circumstances where people may require more water to ensure
that they are staying hydrated. If any of these circumstances hold true
for you, try sipping on more water throughout the day or adding some of
the aforementioned produce to your diet to up your water intake:
