At Kirby Medical Center, we believe that great healthcare starts with great leadership. That’s why we invest in our leaders through quarterly Leadership Development Institutes (LDIs)—unique experiences designed to inspire growth, sharpen leadership skills, and strengthen teamwork.
Most recently, our leadership team had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Japan House at the University of Illinois for a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. This immersive cultural experience encouraged mindfulness, reflection, and presence—reminders that directly impact the way our leaders serve patients, support staff, and guide our organization.
Beyond learning, these institutes provide a space for connection and collaboration. Whether engaging in thoughtful dialogue, sharing experiences outside of the workplace, or simply spending time together, these moments strengthen the bonds that make our leadership team—and Kirby as a whole—so effective.
By fostering continuous growth and encouraging team building, we ensure that Kirby’s leaders are equipped to lead with compassion, clarity, and purpose—today and into the future.
