At Kirby Medical Center, we are proud to have team members whose dedication to health and wellness extends far beyond their professional roles. Natalie Feriozzi, MS, RDN, LDN, a Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist with Kirby’s Nutrition Care Services, is one of those extraordinary individuals.
Natalie brings a wealth of expertise to her work, specializing in diabetes care for children, teenagers, adults, and older adults. Her professional passion is deeply personal—Natalie’s own experience with type 1 diabetes and other chronic autoimmune illnesses has given her a unique perspective, empathy, and determination to help others. She is committed to improving health through diet and lifestyle changes, guiding patients to overcome barriers, build a healthier relationship with food, and create sustainable wellness goals.
Outside of Kirby, Natalie devotes her time and talents to the American Diabetes Association’s Camp GranADA, a transformative summer camp for children living with diabetes. This summer marked Natalie’s 13th year with Camp GranADA, a place she describes as her “home away from home.” Her journey began as a camper for seven years, continued as a counselor for four, and for the past two years, she has served as the Assistant Director of Nutrition.
Natalie’s role at camp is as joyful as it is vital. From teaching carb counting and meal planning to ensuring that hundreds of children have healthy meals tailored to their needs, she plays a key part in building confidence and resilience in young campers.
Reflecting on her experience, Natalie shared:
“When I look into the mirror, I still see that little camper who was scared to have diabetes—now I’m working with the people who made me who I am. Camp Granada has given me a community of learning, love, and friendship that shaped me into the person I am today. I would not be half the person I am without it.”
Her commitment to this work continues to grow—Natalie is set to become the Director of Nutrition for Camp GranADA in 2026, fulfilling a lifelong dream of joining the camp’s administrative team alongside her pediatric diabetes care team and lifelong friends.
At Kirby Medical Center, we are grateful for employees like Natalie who give back to their communities with such dedication and heart. She is a shining example of our mission in action—providing compassionate care, promoting wellness, and building healthier futures.
Thank you, Natalie, for your unwavering dedication to your patients, your camp family, and the diabetes community.
