Join us this June for Healthcare Discovery Camp at Kirby Medical Center for an opportunity to learn more about healthcare occupations! Students will get to enjoy fun, hands-on experiences, meet our KMC professionals, and see firsthand how healthcare can look as a career. The program will include 1:1 observation with staff, Q&A panels, detailed department tours, Discovery labs, and group discussions. Our staff at Kirby Medical Center is looking forward to sharing their excitement with interested students. This will be a great opportunity for your high school aged student to DISCOVER if one of the many areas of healthcare are for them. Examples of careers that we will explore include Administration, Accounting, Information Technology, Nursing, Therapy, Emergency Services, Pharmacy, Health Information Management, and Marketing to name a few. Each of these skilled professionals play a vital role in ensuring that our patients are receiving the best healthcare possible.
This Healthcare Discovery Camp will be held 4 Thursday mornings throughout June, from 8:30 to 12:00pm, here on our KMC campus in Monticello. Please see dates below. Due to limited availability, we ask that you please be mindful of other students and only register if you can attend all four sessions. This is a free camp open to high school aged students in Piatt County and surrounding areas who have an interest in exploring the Healthcare field. Our Healthcare Discovery camp will be a more in-depth version of our HealthCARE Pathways program.
