What Is Kirby Connect Patient Portal?

Kirby Connect Patient Portal offers Kirby Medical Center and Kirby Medical Group clinic patients free secure online access to their personal health information and portions of their medical record from anywhere with an Internet connection (computer, tablet or smartphone). It enables patients to be actively involved in their healthcare anytime that is convenient for them, day or night. With Kirby Connect, patients will be able to:

  • View portions of their Kirby Medical Center health record (recent visits, medications, allergies, conditions, immunizations and more)
  • View test results and diagnostic reports
  • View clinical visit documents
  • View billing activity
  • Update personal profile information

In addition, Kirby Medical Group patients will be able to:

  • View and request appointments
  • Request prescription refills
  • Communicate securely with their healthcare team

How Do I Sign Up for Kirby Connect?

There are two convenient options for creating a Kirby Connect Patient Portal account. A valid email address must be on file with Kirby Medical Center/Group before you can sign up.

Can I View a Family Member’s Health Record in Kirby Connect?

Yes, this is called proxy access and allows a parent, spouse, family member, or designated individual to log into the patient’s personal Kirby Connect account and view their information. Once proxy access has been granted, you can select the “Change Person” button from the top right corner of Kirby Connects homepage to be able to choose among the patients that you have access to. To request proxy access, please visit the Kirby Medical Center Health Information Management (Medical Records) Department.

I Once Had Access to My Child’s Kirby Connect Account and Now I Do Not. What Happened?

Per State and Federal guidelines, once your child turns 12, your access to their Kirby Connect account is deactivated. Your child can now sign up for his/her own account and complete the necessary form to grant you proxy access. To request proxy access, please visit the Kirby Medical Center Health Information Management (Medical Records) Department.

Can My Spouse and I Share One Kirby Connect Account?

No, each adult must have their own Kirby Connect account. However, your spouse may grant you proxy access to their Kirby Connect. To request proxy access, please visit the Kirby Medical Center Health Information Management (Medical Records) Department.

What Should I Do if I Forgot My Password?

Click on the “Forgot Password?” link on the login screen to reset your password. You will be prompted to enter your logon ID and email address. An email will be sent with further instructions.

Where Can I Change My Password?

Click on “Preferences” at the bottom of the Kirby Connect homepage screen to change your password.

I was logged out of Kirby Connect, what happened?

To protect your privacy and the security of your health information, you will automatically be logged out of Kirby Connect if there is no activity for 30 minutes or more.

Why Does the Back Button in My Browser Not Work When I Am in Kirby Connect?

This is for your security. When logged in to Kirby Connect, use the portal's own navigation buttons (i.e. Home). Using your browser back or forward buttons will cause you to be logged out of the portal.
