For 85 years, Kirby Medical Center has been a trusted name in compassionate, community-based healthcare. From our humble beginnings in 1941 to today’s innovative medical campus, our mission has remained the same — providing exceptional care, close to home.
The story of Kirby Medical Center began with John and Mary E. Kirby, whose vision for a hospital in Piatt County became reality in 1941. Their generosity established a cornerstone of care that has grown from a 15-room facility into a modern medical campus serving thousands each year.
Over the decades, Kirby has evolved with the needs of our community — adding surgical suites, therapy centers, outpatient clinics, and advanced imaging — all while maintaining our patient-first philosophy.
