Healthcare Scholarship

KIRBY FOUNDATION EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Kirby Foundation and Kirby Medical Center have created a Healthcare Scholarship Program to encourage students interested in the medical field to pursue their dreams. As part of the program, the scholar agrees to return to Kirby Medical Center after graduation to work for a minimum time determined by the scholarship awarded.

High school seniors and students already enrolled in a healthcare field are eligible to apply for a Kirby scholarship that would cover up to 100 percent of tuition, housing and books.

Students who are enrolled or applying for programs in nursing, radiologic technology, laboratory sciences, family medicine, physical therapy, paramedic studies or any other healthcare field are encouraged to apply. Online applications can be found here.

The Healthcare Scholarship Program is funded through The Kirby Foundation’s Education Fund and through income received from farms donated to Kirby Medical Center.

For questions related to the scholarship, contact Andrew Buffenbarger at Kirby Medical Center, 217-762-1506, or Sarah Ross at The Kirby Foundation, 217-762-1509.
