12 Days of Giving Give the Gift of Caring

Make Spirits Bright – Give the Gift of Caring this Holiday Season

In celebration of the most wonderful time of year, the Kirby Foundation is kicking off a 12 Days of Giving campaign to raise awareness about the impact you can make with a donation to the Foundation.

We are grateful to our community for their willingness to support us in our mission to further community health resources and medical campus improvements.

Donation Spotlight: Holiday Card Design Contest

2023 Winner, Addison Morganthaler of Cerro Gordo Elementary.

Each year Kirby Medical Center conducts an annual holiday card design contest for area fourth graders. The winning design is used to created Kirby Medical Center’s Christmas card that is mailed to Kirby employees and community partners.

This year the winning entry was created by Addison Morganthaler of Cerro Gordo Elementary. She was recognized by Kirby CEO Steve Tenhouse and Director of Development Sarah Ross and rode on Kirby’s float in the Monticello Christmas Parade on Dec. 2, along with the runners-up for the design contest.

The Foundation also presents the contest winner with a special art kit and recognizes his or her teacher with a $100 check to put toward classroom art supplies.

A special shout-out to the runner’s-up for the contest, as well as Addison’s teacher, Lisa Forbes, who teaches fourth grade at Cerro Gordo Elementary.

Runners-Up

Ceres Norton, Atwood Hammond Grade School

Laken O'Linc, White Heath Elementary

Mason Gardner, White Heath Elementary

Congratulations to all of these talented students!

The holiday card contest is one of the many ways the Foundation supports community engagement.
