Women's Therapy Services

Physical Therapy Specifically Designed for Women

Women’s Health Therapy Services offered by Kirby Medical Center provide women with quality healthcare by decreasing pain from certain conditions and improving quality of life. Women who may benefit include those who may have recently undergone childbirth, hysterectomy, or bladder surgery.

A physical therapist with special training in women’s health will provide your treatment. A treatment program typically includes one visit per week for 6-12 weeks. Speak with our staff about scheduling a time that works with your schedule.

Therapy for Pelvic and Bladder Issues

Women’s Health Physical Therapy Services are targeted to address women’s health issues such as pelvic pain and urinary dysfunction. Your privacy and safety are held in the utmost regard, and these services are provided in a comfortable, discreet environment.

You may benefit from physical therapy if you experience:

  • Bladder leakage
  • Bladder prolapse
  • Painful intercourse
  • Muscular pelvic floor laxity
  • Abdominal pain
  • Lower back pain

A physician’s referral is required for therapy services. If you experience any of the listed conditions, please discuss the benefits of women’s health physical therapy with your primary care provider. For more on our women’s health services, visit the Urology & Gynecology page.
