Price Transparency/No Surprise Billing

Chargemaster

Kirby Medical Center is committed to being transparent about our charges. The information provided in the link below contains a comprehensive listing of our charges for inpatient and outpatient services provided by the hospital, also known as our chargemaster. The chargemaster is not a helpful tool for patients to comparison shop between hospitals or to estimate what health care services are going to cost them out of their own pocket. Your own charges and out-of-pocket expenses will depend on the actual patient care services you receive, the terms of your insurance coverage, and/or your eligibility for financial assistance.

In determining your individual expenses for upcoming services, this listing of charges is not the best indicator of patient liability. For more information about the cost of your care, please contact Patient Financial Services at 217-762-1540 to request an individualized estimate. Please understand that the information provided will be an estimate based on the information available before services are rendered and is not a guarantee. In some cases, additional services may be needed. Charges with an asterisk (*) will need additional assistance from the Patient Financial Services.

For questions regarding payment arrangements or financial assistance please contact our Patient Financial Services department at 217-762-1540.

This document describes your protections against unexpected medical bills. It also asks if you’d like to give up those protections and pay more for out-of-network care.

Good Faith Estimate:
The Good Faith Estimate shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for your health care needs for an item or service. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created.

The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur. If this happens, federal law allows you to dispute (appeal) the bill.
